I took my friend Eric to this show; it was the first thing we did on his first trip back to the US after 3 or 4 years in Japan. He was so homesick -- seing the Dead was the best we to feel back at home asap.

I remember we had an extra ticket and the Eric was anxious to find some shrooms. So I gave him the ticket to see if he could trade it for some shrooms. Since I had seen a few undercover cops that day already I told him to be careful. Later he came back and said he had found a guy who was willing to sell him the shrooms. I asked Eric if he was scared that the guy might be a cop. He said "When I told him that the only way I could pay him was with a ticket, his eyes got as big as silver dollars. Then I knew everything was cool!"
