so here it is...........the best playin' of the 90's without question. i believe it clocks in at nearly 19 minutes........and not 19 minutes of noodling or space, 19 minutes of the boys going fucking insane and pulling one out of the bag. wow! grab this one if you can folks.

i agree totally with JDF. This second set is s smoker. really sweet crazy fingers leading into one of the most insane playin's i've heard. get it at

Dick said that this was his favorite Playin' In The Band EVER! - better than the ones played in 72, 73, 77 and other great years.

better than average show with the PITB being a highlight. I would, however, submit 12-30-90 as the best PITB in the 90's

Yeah, the Playin is insane, the jam out of CF* into PITB is insane, beautiful.

* so nice
-1x1 (02/19/2012)

not a huge fan of the Corina but they come out smokin from drums
-1x1 (02/19/2012)

Majority of this one is Road Trips Vol. 2 No. 4
-Anonymous (08/25/2013)

That playin is nasty, but that Set 1 Deal closer also deserves a mention IMHO. Just raw power from jerry and Phil throughout. Guess the boys really got an energy boost for May '93. Just goes to show, the Dead can always pull one like this out of the bag no matter what year you look at.
-Murphy (10/06/2014)

6 years to the day of Larry Bird stealing the ball and passing DJ to seal the win from the Pistons.
