After the disappoint of the cancelled Veneta '92 run due to Jerry's illness, we saw Jerry looking fantastic at Halloween, so we drove from Los Angeles to Tempe for this two night "comeback" run. This outdoor venue predates the modern sheds and featured a fairly flat lawn. Crowd was in a good mood-Jerry was BACK after all.

Bobby's guitar is especially prevalent in the mix on both of these nights, and though 12/6 may be a tad better, this isn't bad Grateful Dead. Jerry's engaged, and the soloing in the Scarlet>Fire is quite clean and bubbly.

The post drums Wheel>Watchtower is strong and the Weight encore sweetly delivered. Nothing monumental, but certainly pleasant.
