A fine show - my first. Steve Miller opened, fireworks at the end, a very happy time.

I shot a load during Loose Lucy....on the back of the guy in front of me. He was fucking pissed.

This was the second year of the Dead's run at Soldier field....the year before I beleive Roger Mcguinn opendd for them..... Steve Miller was very good I recall...the weather was fantastic...I beleive Jet Airliner, Take the money and Run, and Fly like an Eagle were the tunes he performed... Then the highlight for me in the first set was hearing my first version of Loose Lucy Live...hearing jerry belt out 'round and round and round and round and round she goes' as all the gals around us were just spinning was remarkable! For the second set, again my first time hearing Crazy Fingers live was the high point for me...... I still
miss Jerry!

This show was great. What got me was how incredible the sound quality was. For a place that big, they fuckin nailed it with the towers out on the floor. A swirling crisp sound, loud and clear. Plus, Jerry was awe inspiring during Wharf Rat.
