Tripping my ass off on some green gel-tabs at this one. Brought my girlfriend to her first show here, and she was tripping hard, too. Man Smart-Woman Smarter was buzzing through my head for weeks afterwards. This show was excellent - much energy from the crowd and it fed the band, I think. Bruce Hornsby was excellent with the Dead, I think he should have stayed with them to the end instead of Vince - I never was really fond of Vince's playing, myself. When I finally got a tape of this show, I was just as able to appreciate it in a sober state-of-mind. Definately some magic here!

Just curious if anyone remembers the raging battle coming out of space at this show where it appeared (at least to me) that Jerry was battling for The Other One and Phil for Miracle. It reached such a fevered pitch at the end that I think both thought the other won the battle and they didnt start 'officially' playing Miracle until Jerry popped his head up and realized the lick was his. Maybe just one of those space moments, but I have always wondered if anyone remembers that the way I do.
