Comments:

IMHO, the best Branford show. One of the best shows of the 90s. It's a show you'll listen to over and over again.

Sorry, kid, but NOTHING beats Nassau 1990.

Doesn't this one have the chanting monks ?
-Anonymous

living in the bay area gave me many many chances to see the dead,,, New Years was always a great party although the music was about average... would I miss the chance to catch the boys on NYE again... HELL NO!
-sausalito deadhead

I had been out of rehab about a year and stayed home by myself with my headphones in my parents house. I remember dancing my ass off to this show, clean and sober. Then A few days later I took the tape and went jogging in a sleet storm and the sleet formed a cool crust of ice on my sweatshirt. The sax riffs on NFA were awesome, but so was the whole first set.

check out the krunchy-phat Phil bombs on NFA
-Anonymous (12/01/2007)

Agree with Michael. Nassau is awesome but this is the one I keep coming back to. The NF is one of the more creative you will hear from the band.
-Dave H (12/14/2007)

nassau sounded like a bag of assholes...this new year's show rocked...i too remeber the monks crossing the stage...wow, what memories we have...

"nassau sounded like a bag of assholes"

Good one...You must mean the cops outside because there is only one Branford show, the rest were poor attempts at recreating the magic of that night in....East Hempstead.

Last time Dark Star and The Other One were played in the same show was nine years prior, 12-31-1981 also in Oakland.
-Ed (05/21/2009)

Listening on Sirius. Thought the Bird Song was awesome. Branford must love having Phil. Can't beat Eyes, east coast or west
- (12/31/2009)

hey Ed 12-31-81 is dope!
-steve (02/09/2010)

Sorry Ira you are the asshole, Nassau puts this monk chanting crap to shame.
