Comments:

Interesting duet of shows in tempe. The sound on the tapes I have make me think these shows were more of chillers then ragers. But still, vince seems to be settling in and, not that it needs to be said, but Jerry sounds like he's havin a blast with bruce every time they start a duel. On top of that, Valley ROad is an extremely fun tune. I don't know why I like it so much, but it just works really well as a set closer. TO bad there are only 6 versions to choose from. 3 of which come out of dank Bird Songs. not complainin though, i'm just grateful to the tapers that I can hear any of this music at all. Not a bad run, but if you want something a little bit more In your face, then go with the Oakland shows prior to this. Save these for a lazy day where you need to sooth yourself with some relaxing jams.

Definitely agree that these were very low key shows. However, Saturday's set was one of my most memorable. I came late to the party (1988) but, Saturday night was pretty incredible. I still remember that Wheel. Almost brings a tear to my eye. Considering dipping into the retirement funds for Chicago.
