BECAUSE FOR PURPOSES OF FINALLY SETTLING DOWN WITH MY TRUE LOVE [WHO IS NOT A DEAD HEAD AT ALL], THIS WAS TO BE MY GRATEFUL DEAD FINALE. AND A MEMORABLE ONE AT THAT WITH THE 'HEY JUDE' REPRISE. 59 SHOWS, 14 CITIES, AND THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS LATER, IT'S TIME TO MAKE BABIES AND MOVE ON [BUT GRATEFULLY DEDICATED ETERNALLY, YOU BETCHA SKIPPY!] FARE THEE WELL, MY HONEY!

Miracled by someone in a car backed up on the off ramp, bolted straight inside as quick as a flash to catch the end of Iko. It was a "blue" show - tons of blue lighting. The end of To Lay Me Down was uncharacteristically rocking, Jer played this never-ending "rain" riff during the LLR coda, GDTRFB felt like the end, it was almost like we got two encores.

We had 2 singles upstairs on opposite sides of the stage. We ended up finding 2 together 1st row balcony opposite the stage.

Best sounding Horizon show of the six we saw in 88 and 89.

Maybe the best of the six overall, too! We saw the Foolish Heart debut at Alpine '88 and they played it again! To Lay Me Down!

This whole run rocked. A bunch of new songs (hooray!) and everyone was playing great. But this one was the best of the three.
