There was a rainbow over the coliseum before the show, very cool. Both sets were fun, the crowd was into it.

I remember the rainbow "landing' on the roof of the coliseum and Box being pulled out!

Great night to end the 3 night run. I really enjoyed my first run down to Hampton. Stayed in Va. Beach...off season rates. My buddy got busted twice in one night for public urination...what as ass. Solid show...Box 'o Rain, Roses, Ship of Fools. Just a great run.

Does anyone remember the the big grass field nearby before they built that hotel? Or how much Hampton loved us when we rolled into to town? Late 80's were best imo. The incense, the dreads, the drums...Hats off to you old-timers who were there back in the day. My old pastor was a bay area head from the beginning. 5000+ hrs live-dead and we lived on the east coast then. Man...a nation of us came together and for what >.> There's a lesson in there some where. Oh and btw, this is the show where I met my Scarlet; luv and miss you all!!!

I was a senior in high school and was grounded and couldnt go see this hampton run. My friends did.
I moved out west after this summer, so i missed the landover ripple too.
All that being said, after seeing 100 + shows, I would give my left kidney to have seen the ONLY Roses played at Hampton.
Miss you Jerry.
