Comments:

besides the somewhat absurd processed sounds that mickey seems to be tinkering with, the scarlet/fire is by far one fof the best pairings ever, easily within the topten, if not a little higher. garcia's sound is crisp, his leads are incredibly focused, his speed is fucking blazing, and his timing is phenomenal.

all around a great late dead show. it surprised the hell out of me. the whole band is focused.

One of favorite shows, this was my first Scarlet/Fire. Long Beach was my favorite place to see the boys, always great energy in the building.

I
Walkin' Blue-solid playing all around by the boys.
Don't East Me In-awful version

II
Scarlet>Fire>LLRain>He's Gone-2nd of 2 times this sequence was played. He's Gone has very powerful vocals by Jerry, simply soulful.
Morning Dew-Slow and mourning lyrics by Jerry, 2nd half has measured tempo but has the emotional musical crash at the right point. Very good version.
Around-Bobby starts to go batty at the end.
Watchtower-Bobby's still excited from Around and keeps the exaggerted lyrics enunciation theme going. Jerry's solo's are lightening fast. Almost as good as 7.4.89.

E:Black Muddy River-1st full year of being played, and this one is a treat for all. Jerry sounds like a sage througout. Great show

My first show! I went with a bunch of friends who had been "on the bus" for a while, and I had a great time!
