Only time Jackstraw has ever opened a show...tee-hee!
-billymunster (08/01/2009)

Congrats Juan!! Happy B-day shows (feliz cumpleanos) are awesome.

And anon,
No, this was NOT the shortest first set. Not by a long shot.
That honor goes to the 5 song 1st set right before Jerry's coma. I've seen encores longer than that set.

jack straw has opened a lot of shows...one of the most common show openers the dead ever did.

Brokedown-My new favorite version. Jerry vocally spot on!
- (02/17/2016)

So right Perin. Jerry's never given the credit he deserves for his vocal work. No one can come close to him when he is at his best on Stella or Dew or as in this show Brokedown.
- (03/27/2017)

Desolation Row has 3 Jerry solos, counting the outro (most in 86/87 had only 2 noteworthy instrumental breaks - a solo and a full outro, or 2 solos and then a shortened outro). A standout for sure, great energy.
