better than the first night. weather broke and warmed up a little but not much. mud everywhere, crowded as hell. keep on growin was good but no heavy jammin in 2nd set, seemed short to me but i was tired had not slept all weekend. met my future girlfriend at this one.

This was my first mindblower. Thanks Mr. Red & Blue stripes guy. 3 years of shows, and this night I really got it.

OK - a very WET evening tent surfing followed by a spectacularly crisp WI am set up the perfect setting for an electric Bacardi watermelon kind of day... Psychic energy recharged as we teeter in to the opening rumbles of Phil breaking over the wooden barriers. Of course the entire facility would be the envy of any experienced tobogganer - straight, steep and slick! Given my druthers Alpine would be my "home field" - a great place to hang. Have the show on about 45th gen tape (the kind that only sounds good at "11" while driving 80 MPH w/ the windows open) so can't really speak about the quality, but remember that the groove quickly set in and that the show the day before was also quickly forgotten. Seen MANY NY/NJ shows since this and always wished for a pre show scene like Alpine's in '85.

I
Bucket-Bobby's voice is nice and high pitched for "Riiide" section. This Bucket>Sugaree is 2nd only to the Maine 88 Summer run I feel. Entire first set seems to a girlfriend theme I feel, Sugaree/Althea/Cassidy/BE Woman.

II
Keep On Growin, 2nd of only 4 times played. Now the 2nd second's theme looks as if it's a breakup set (Sail>Saint, Stella)
