First ever Tom Thumbs Blues.
Although back then Phil couldn't sing as well as he can now...

he sings it w/ such conviction....and passion. One of my favorite all time Dead covers

General admission, .5 Step returns, Phil busts out JLTTB, great night, great run, great tour!!!!

Great show, but does anyone remember how horrible the encore was. Take a listen to it. It's so bad it's funny.

11/21/99--just took a listen to the encore....and yes, a train wreck, more or less. Very up tempo, the arrangement was all over the place. First one of the that east coast tour. Was at all 3 shows, and had a blast. Best thing...general admission.

ooooops! I dated that wrong. I am 10 years behind. it's 2009, right!?!?!?!
-rob c (11/21/2009)

They made up for the lousy Touch encore the next 2 nights at this Nassau run. Never forget the GA. What a blast, never happen today.
-Anonymous (07/30/2010)

If I recall correctly, when Phil started singing Mickey stood up and started applauding. It was very funny.

Funny how I can't remember what I did last night, but I totally remember that this run was GA and Mickey standing up at his kit when Phil started singing JLTTB. Matt Kelly on Harp for Smokestack. And they sold beer. First GA show at Nassau since 1973 with Beer!
