Comments:

This was an unusual show in several respects. the first set ended suddenly about 45 minutes in when Weir seemed to think he was having equipment problems. He left the stage during Althea and Jerry, Phil, and Brent got into a really sweet groove. still my favorite version of Althea.

The first chord of Uncle Johns Band was struck within seconds of the band coming on stage for set 2. No tuning no nothing just put on the instruments and play. I don't think anyone got it on tape. The Uncle Johns -> Samson -> Uncle Johns was killer.

Bob forgot the words to The Other One and says something like "I'm glad there was no air" at one point.

The dead did a good job of mixing up songs setlists but they could even been better. Like for instance the uncle-Sampson-uncle sandwich.
