I wonder if they played He's Gone for Lennon
-Anonymous

From what I've read, the Dead played "He's Gone" for Lennon. Jerry was in tears. You can hear those tears in his singing.
-Dave (09/15/2008)

I don't know if it was for Lennon or not, but Jerry wasn't in tears. I was about 30' from him the whole show and certainly in pretty rare form, but sorry, no tears. Great touching dirty, though. Peace

I don't normally comment on shows that I haven't been to (unless it's Barton Hall or Brent's 1st show or Keith's last show), but wowwee. The SBD is muddy. Clearly it had seen better days prior to being digitized.

With all that being said, the pre-drums 2nd set is at least as good as any I have ever heard in the Brent era. I'm surprised this show doesn't make some kind of list, or dick/dave/vault whatever, recording.

What was with the 80’s and all the stupid clapping during the entire shows ruined so many recordings.

Sorry for partying
-SorryNotSorry (08/20/2021)

That’s not partying that clapping out of time and stupid. Luckily they have clean versions now.
