Comments:

THIS WAS MY 26TH SHOW, AND I BELIEVE ONE OF BRENT MYDLAND'S FIRST WITH THE BAND. IT WAS A BIT OF A BLUR, TO MUCH TO DRINK BEFORE WE ARRIVED. TRAVELED BACK TO SAN FRAN AFTERWARDS AND GOT BERTHA TATOOED ON MY RIGHT FOREARM AT ABOUT 2 AM. AAAH, THE CRAZY LIFE OF A DEADHEAD COASTGUARDSMAN IN THE 70'S- TWAS A BEAUTIFUL THANG!

I think this is the first show with the slowed-down version of Minglewood. I liked the old version myself

The only time in 79 when Playing In The Band did not lead into Drums!
-Luke (10/27/2021)

This was my first Dead show. I remember a large banner hanging from the rafters that said "Deadheads welcome Brent Mydland" or some such. Seeing them do the drums->space after Eyes made me a fan for life, saw tons of shows until the end. Last time I listened to this recording (many years later), it seemed like a decent show. Those early days of Brent were a little more open, if unsettled, the band was finding their new sound with Brent.
