This show has the funniest stage banter I've ever heard. Bob says "Our bassist, Phil, was last seen consorting with aliens. We are of course hoping everything turned out all right. But also, if you see him, won't you please send him home?"

I was at this show. The first set was pretty bad, But the second set was a totally different animal-- don't what they did during the break, but it worked. Awesome second set-- the transition from Miracle to Shakedown is astomishing. The Terrapin beautiful, and the Playin is epic. During the Playing, there's a moment when it got real quiet and I felt like we were all totally in touch witht he cosmos.

I second that emotion on the Playin'-monumental. Perhaps the Keith/Donna drag was starting to show with the lackluster 1st set and short 2nd.

Donna's was so off tune during From the Heart of Me I just had to laugh.

Most beautiful Terrapin I have ever heard!!!! I base all others on this one.

The Second Set as Quite mellow, with the only version of Serengetti that i know of. The Playin is great, and just when you think the set is done, jerry started Casey Jones. Nice mellow terrapin too. The first set wasn't that bad, you could barely hear kieth during the set, but i did feel a vibe of uninterest throughout the whole show. Guess kieth and donna were just as much done with the dead as they were done with kieth and donna.

Deal has 18 and one half cycles in the final refrain.
Bob gets cut off going for #19 with jerry putting a stamp on the ending shutting him up! Lol.
Check the 4-15-78 deal with a 36 cycle ending. Insane.

A great Cassidy

1978 and 1979 were the only 2 January East Coast tours ever. Making extra money for Egypt in 78 and then making extra to pay for it in 1979 ? I live one town away but alas my first show was later in the year at Cape Cod

Love the 2nd set
