Comments:

The second set is sweet. I have it on cd-r. The cold rain & snow is very nice, slightly slower tempo than usual 77 cold rain and snows. BIODTL is great. Scarlet-->Fire is on fire. And Dancing in the Streets is so god damn funky.

I'll second that!!!!!

Great MNS. But the mac-daddy of MNS is 5/7/77 in Boston. Jerry just keeps taking it further and further and faster and faster before the big finish. It really shows what a powerful rock n' roll guitarist he was in addition to all the great unique Jerry music he made.

Remember this show well. Finally, the GD were to play the Rocks, basically in our backyard. Those were the days ... we went in the night before and slept under the stars in our chosen seats, maybe 20 rows back. Longtime veterans of the shows, we did not want to be in the meltdown zone. We spent the day "on the Rocks," imbibing the purple dragon that was circulating. Finally, show time, and we were crisp, which made the Jack Straw, Candyman opening particularly poignant. Cassidy, Passenger and Music Never Stopped remain emblazoned. Not sure if that was the night they did Not Fade and the fans clapped the whole time they took a break backstage and were still doing the Bo Diddley beat when the band returned. I guess some time has passed and not all memories are sharp after 35 years. Oh well.......
