Listening to this show on GDRadio and I had never before heard Happiness Is Drumming as listed above by Charlie Miller. It sounds to me like an instrumental version of Fire on the Mountain which was not played until 03/18/77.

Am I correct in what I am hearing?
-John (06/06/2011)

yes, the Happiness is FOTM pre-lyrics. The music was developed by Mickey as a song on his 1976 Diga Rhythm Band album.

The Watkins Glen jam has an interesting 2 chord jam near the latter part that sounds like a sped up FOTM. And one could argue (It's only 2 chords, they were just jamming) BUT--Jerry does a quick quote that sounds dangerously close to the fire lead. Anyone?

Love the early fire jam, happiness is GD!

Love the Not Fade encore! And of course, with their usual sense of humor, what do you suppose the band does with the ending? That's right - they fade it away into silence and Jerry just says, "Good night, see y'all later."
-Lightnin' (06/08/2015)

listening to the eyes> segment on Sirius. too much, too good. primo. does not get an better...waiting for the pre fotm part. love that eyes shuffle, the jam before the lyrics restart. there it goes...jerry voice strong...throat getting tense thinking of the man...

I was at this show, and I am *sure* there was a second encore. The screaming was going on and on after Around and Around, and no one was leaving. Amazingly the Dead did another more mellow tune to calm everyone down. They were off-stage and came back on to plug back in. I never saw them do that before. I think the tapers were surprised, too. That's why the song isn't on the recordings.
Did I hallucinate this? Hmmm, I don't think so. It was a great moment in the concert when everyone was connected in that magical way.

Oops. My bad. I copied the first encore as Around and Around from the set-list. It was definitely NFA. Bobby and Donna telling the audience you're gonna give your love to me did NOT settle anyone down! ;) That was what really got everyone going.
