I got in to this show using a Ticketmaster ticket that was for 6-9-73 RFK Stadium !!! What happened was at the Washington DC show the eagar crowd broke down one of the gates to the stadium and I just walked in - my ticket intact !! So I presented this at Roosevelt Stadium, the ticket taker took it and I waltzed on in !!! What a Wall of Sound !!! The next night ( Jerry's birthday ) was even better !!!

I believe this show also had The Band appearing on it. China Cat was the best I ever heard it played.

three days after watkins glen, fireworks on the stage, warm afternoon and evening in a great venue, no cops (unlike the days at nassau colliseum), two top bands in great shape ... what can i say? it was great.

Yeah, I was there. The Band was the opening act, if you can call such a great group an opening act. Rained like hell during "The Night they Drove Old Dixie Down." There was the set change, and the rain stopped as soon as the Dead started playing.

I was laying on the ground (it was a minor league baseball park) and a shuffling old man in a suit who had to be in his 80s nearly stumbled over me. What the hell was he doing there?

Promised Land
Greatest Story Ever Told
