Set 1

Promised Land - Good take

Mexicali Blues - Well played. Small cut in SBD .

They Love Each Other - Absolutely smokes ! Better than all versions performed in February and they were good.

Deal - Nice little Rock N Roller

Beat It On Down The Line - Boogie Woogie Piano

Row Jimmy - Diabetics beware!!!! This one is sweet!!!!! Recording has Bob mixed higher than the rest the band the last few measures.

Tennessee Jed - Jerry destroys his guitar during the climax.

El Paso - Nice

Here Comes Sunshine - Another well played version. A plus for '73.

Playing In The Band - Exploratory Dead. Sublime playing. So clean. Piano, guitars & bass are quietly sparring. They miss the landing but it doesn't matter anyway.

Set 2

Loose Lucy - Standard/Fun

Big River - A 5 belt buckle rating.

Stella Blue - Quite, beautiful & serene.

Truckin' - Rocking as usual.

The Other One - The fellas are locked in early. Tight but loose. Vocals start around the 9 and a half minute mark. Mushroom friendly at 11 minutes.

Eyes of the World - Early flubb is forgotten thanks to a jam that ebbs & flows.

Sugar Magnolia - Abrasive Rock N Roll

Grievance - They almost played Looks Like Rain well. Almost.

Of the 26 songs played the 17 above I would download and spin again.

17 of 26 is a grade of 65.38%

Cheers !
