NFA-Nice slow blues jam in the middle threading nicely into GDTRFB where Phil lays out a rich texture of chords and then folding back into an extremely emotional NFA. Just when you think you have heard Bobby belt out some lines, think again folks. Almost as good as 9.23.72

This was the first tape I ever owned, and my first exposure to the Dead in general....i loved the Mr. Charlie and Tennessee Jed in particular.....dozens of shows and hundreds of tapes later, I'm still in awe of this show.....

I moved to Ann Arbor a while back and my work is a half block away from Hill Auditorium, my window faces the facade of the auditorium, I'm always daydreaming about the sounds descending from that building those two nights

I was wandering one night before the Dead played in Ann Arbor, I stumbled into their hotel and.I was with Garcia at the Campus Inn, he bought me breakfast and I took him to Herb David guitar store. Then we had lunch and went to Hill Auditorium where he jammed. He had an oscilloscope by his amp and that was what had me in a trance. He jammed with Conga Phil, a local. I fell asleep and missed the official concert, but the jam was incredible.
