I
Playing>40 minutes, trancedental. This was the only song on the entire show when I got an analog of it.

I<>II
"we are going to take a break..yeah..that's right a break....we are going to take a break.."

II
TO1-simply scintillating.

>JBG "see you all tomorrow in Syracuse"

-Perrinswolf

Comes A Time-3rd time out of 66 times this soulful gem was performed. Song got better as his voice aged, but good slow one before a 1st set ender of Saturday Night of which was the 5th ouf ot 334 times played. Song had yet to mature into 2nd set closer/encore.

-Brianmerrilyn (05/31/2007)

After BigRXR Blues, Jerry tells the crowd "if people could move back a little bit from the stage, the people up front are visably shaken...the sound is best 30 feet from the stage.."

-Iceguru (07/17/2008)

keiths piano sounds different at this show, was he not using the steinway grand yet? he sounds great though, really adding some great fills and stuff.

why is the second set so short it defanitly seems like they got curfewed.
- (09/09/2010)

no song in this show is over 40 minutes long
-Anonymous (10/27/2011)

The Other One is just wild. Simply cosmic.

Keith's vocals in this show are so bad. He performs like it's a friggin beer hall singalong. Ruins Jack Straw.
-Disco (02/09/2020)

Also Jack Straw after Tennessee Jed.
-Doin' That Rag (11/04/2020)

Perrinswolf is def mistaken. PITB is 6 min here. If memory serves, they didn’t begin stretching it out until the Europe 72 tour. They left with it short, and came home with it long.

Disco, that’s not Keith you are referring to, it’s Phil. His singing could be harsh, and I’d agree that this is on full display in Jack Straw, and also Tennessee Jed. He largely stopped singing after 74 (he had no mic from 75 to 83).

From online: “The thought is he sang way out of his natural range and was singing from his throat, not his diaphragm, which caused him to develop polyps on his vocal cords.” And “Lesh had damaged his vocal cords sometime in the 1970s, and his ongoing alcoholism did nothing to help keep his voice in pristine condition.”
