Comments:

This is a damn good show. Live with the Beach Boys. After Cell Block #9, it should say: Good Vibrations and I Get Around. The Beach Boys showed up and played a few with the Dead. Down Right Magical.

This show has definately been in my heavy rotation zone for a while. It's always so much fun to find a "merry pop-in" during an old show!!!!!!

Officially released on CD as "Ladies And Gentlemen ... The Grateful Dead."

i had the tape of this show, i might even still have it someplace, in a box , in a closet, in the back, in the dark..... you know......for later

listening on XM Grateful Dead channel- second set just started and can't wait to hear the Beach Boys. Also, just finished reading Phil's book. These old shows give me such an appreciation for the band and what they put into making the fans happy!

I wish I could have seen this show, though I was at The Day on the Green in '74 when the Dead and Beach Boys shared a bill. The Beach Boys were a very late middle act, though I didn't mind because the party that day in Oakland was wonderful.

I was at this show, the whole run actually . Fun times with the Beach Boys and orange sunshine.

Hard To Handle,,,Indeed

Listen to the saloon band blow the roof off the Fillmore east with UJB>Lovelight.

Both Birdsong and Sing Me Back Home are played to perfection.

Even as a surfer, The Beach Boys make me cringe. The rest of this show is terrific. They get it back quickly with a soulful Sing Me Back Home and perhaps the best UJB ever. Power Dead.

Heard after "Good Vibrations" - "WE WANT the DEAD BACK!"
-Taunts (07/08/2021)

Deadlists and Setlists both include Help Me Rhonda. All of the shows on Archive that I can find include it as well, but every one of them is streaming. The one version I was able to track down years ago is missing HMR.

To me this show is just....ok
-Old School (03/26/2023)

What really should have happened after the mini Beach Boys set is a Dark Star/Morning Dew duet between Jerry Garcia and Mike Love.
