This was my first show. New Riders with Jerry on pedal steel opened. Billed as "An Evening with the Grateful
Dead"...lots of music...Pigpen dominated this show...all of a sudden he would appear from the shadows and take charge as a bluesy frontman. The jams were short but fiery with lots of
peaks and valleys.
