hillarious stage banter, great acoustic show, good recordings, get this

What a day - this show and another great one that night. Before the internet, I had highlights of this show on cassette - I treasured it, but I lost it. I was so pleased to re-claim it.

I love the rider alone, and pigpen is out of control, esp. easy wind, my favorite in these sets. These are gems.

the acoustic rider is worth it by itself

if memory serves that's David Grisman playing Mandolin during the acoustic set

I've been listening to the Road Trips release of the early and late shows. Terrific sound really captures the feel of the Fillmore. I love the Rider. The electric set is great. The guys had SO MUCH ENERGY at this venue. Love it!

Top ten show. Heard parts for years on undated tapes and vinyl boots. Now I know. Get this, either the Road Trips version or run it down somehow, but get it. It is a fantastic show.
