Comments:

Hellava good "shoe" 2 months prior to Woodstock.

Pigpen still bookending (and dominating for the most part) the show while Bobby provides the C&W and of course Jerry jetisons everyone into outspace.

Highlights are the Dew>St. Stephen>Eleven>Lovelight. Boys get kind of tired midway through the Eleven so Jerry just starts his solo all over again. Minor flubs here and there. Lovelight is quite good with Wayne Ceballos playing flute after the 1st "wait a minute" but ends before Pigpen goes into his standard rap "hands out of your pockets/pocket pool"

Yellow dog joke by Bobby before Uncle. Mid joke Phil goes "enunciate Robert"

Ceballos adds to Schoolgirl with his counter-raps to Pigpen.

China>Dew, Stephen>Eleven "forget about it!"

China most excellently lurks into Dew. Crowd goes quiet, in comes relaxed organ and Jerry's voice, capturing that Fresno space for a good long while. Builds to passionate culmination and from the tape on www.gdradio.net a stand alone version.

St Stephen-Eleven-While the boys may have stumbled in parts, as always they endevoured & persevered. Instrumentally a muscular powerhouse from the last jam in St.Stephen throughout the Eleven. Bring any metal band up against these two #'s and we all know which prevails.
