Comments:

A tasty show from the early years. China Cat goes into The Eleven instead of Playin' but it works really well. I can't think of another show with this combo and that also includes St. Stephen.

And of course Pigpen makes Death his own and makes you stop what you are doing and just listen.

Jerry sings Death Don't Have No Mercy, not Pigpen.

Commentator didn't say Pigpen said it. Just said he made it his own. I assume they're referring to the organ playing.
-Kate Feather (08/29/2020)

During the introduction the announcer's telling people to sit down and Pigpen tells them Don't sit down stand up. Don't be programing it baby let's just get it on. Priceless
