nice set list!

This was by far the best sounding show I went to. The band really used the shape of that venue to create an excellent SPACE!!! And, if you camped on the river for these shows, you couldn't help but love the river theme to the first set!!!

Jer was in bad shape at this show and seemed to have little to say in his solos. There were some bright spots--the crowd went nuts of course over Take Me to the River, and loved Vince's funky Long Way to Go Home; drums>space>Wheel was the highlight of the show for me. This was my 9-yr-old son's only show, and he was enthusiastically welcomed into the Tribe by everyone around us, including a head who gave him a hemp necklace with a ceramic amulet. (On close inspection I discovered that the amulet was actually a pipe, which in later years he put to good use!) He was on my shoulders bouncing around wildly for OMSN--somehow I managed to keep dancing despite his weight. We're both grateful that he got to see the boys at least once--his younger sister will be forever jealous!

I was way up in the rafters for this and I remember getting dizzy many times dancing, especially to the 1st time played take Me To The River. The next night was way better in my opinion, and I didn't have the weird echoes that the pyramid ceiling created!!

These shows were great fun! Parking lot scene was super chill on the river. The Beale Street Blues Fest was also going on, checked that out after the show. To me this was the most emotional Standng on the Moon I saw. I got in the seats right behind the stage and after SOTM saw Jerry walk off with a huge grin! A memory I will always cherrish :)
