Insane Rain Storm!
Grateful Dead World Champs on The Big Screens!

The rain and lightning were incredible. I think my mind melted for a little while.:)

Try and get/listen to the Music Never Stopped from this one. A scorcher.

to my magical princess who braided my hair at my first dead show. i still dream about you and wish you would come back in my life as opposed to just my first trip

My first show!! Didn't really know what was going on, it was hard to tell what the songs were the first time. It was a good show, but overwhelming. I thought Soldier Field was melting. I will never forget when China Doll started (second to last one ever), it was dark and cloudy, the rain subsided, and there were these purple lights coloring the storm clouds which were really low over the stadium. Pure synergy.

It was either this show or the Saturday night show the next night that ended up being my last Dead show.....Sting opened up..... I remember the storm and lightning...I remember a tarp over me and two buddies trying to keep us and our blow dry!! Did it also rain the next night? I still miss Jerry......

I went on this tour alone but picked up hitchikers to see what energy I would draw. This night I went in alone, made my way to the front of the floor behind the pit was a path for dancing. Met two beautiful deadhead girls and we danced in the rain during all along the watchtower. It was my best show on that summer tour and likely the best Soldier Field show.

Yea, they put the chicago bulls NBA finals game 5 on the screens during intermission. Commercials and all. What a blast. Watching tv at a dead show. Da bulls.
I always had a good time in chi town.
Miss you jerry.
