Comments:

Weather in Vegas was always trippy when the Dead were in town. Hot desert day then, right before the band came on the crowd got drenched with rain and cold wind (hence - the Cold Rain and Snow opener!). Very fun shows at the Silverbowl. Perfect size; not to big, not to small.

Can't remember which of these 3 shows it was, I think this one (my 22nd b-day by the way)-- but does anyone remember the huge marshmallow fight that broke out in the back of the floor, Jerry side? Freakin' hilarious! And it lasted a long time!
And, on a sad note I think this was the night one cat got struck by lighting right before the show started. And I do remember them announcing to stay clear of the big metal scffolding on the floor. Scary!

Prob one of my fave shows..the one i flash back to when i want to go to that "Happy Place"...that rain storm was amazing. i remember that black cloud cruising toward the arena and the crowd roaring louder as it came closer...then hovering over it and turning it all dark and POW...super 20 minute downpour and then dry like you can only do in Vegas...fantastic Black Throated there and i just remember 5 of us staying in a room at the Motel 6...we were all crashed around the room...w/ the door open because the AC was broke...some guy walked by and asked if he could use our bathroom and took a piss that should go in Guiness Very funny when you are as tripped out as we were

Does anybody remember all the people trying to sneak in by climbing on this tree outside the gate. So many people got up on it, the darn thing fell over...rain soaked people and all. What a day...120 in the shade, and the thunderstorm hitting right before Sting belted out "There's a little black spot on the sun today"!!! What a show..what a setlist...what kind of LIQUID was that~ doink!!

I took my girlfriend to this, her 1st show. We didn't know then that it was to be our last Dead show ever. It was all good though. We just spent our 20th anniversary at FURTHUR in Denver 2-23-13. Those who dance together, stay together.
