These shows were great; the song selection was interesting, and the band really played well. The responsiveness between the crowd and the band was also very cool... a constant, ebb-and-flow of energy between the two. I'm looking for SBDs, in case anyone reading this has them ;-)

First Dead show. Fantastic! I remember I got laid off from work the day before, but wasn't too upset, cause then I could party harder on Sunday! Went to every show at the Silver Bowl over the next few years. All great shows!

I know Santana opened both days - I honestly can't remember if I went to Sat show or Sun. Anyone know if Santana played with the dead on a song or 2 on the Sat. show (I know someone said he played Bird Song on Sun). This was actually my LAST show (saw some in Compton Terrace and many in early-mid 80's - and saw some Other Ones and The DEAD few yrs ago) and I was a little messed up and KNOW Santana played with them a few songs. Trying to figure if Sat (which I thought) or Sun. Any help appreciated.
