Is this the best sounding "Masterpiece," or what?!?

My first show- and for my money the best jam out of He's Gone there is- long, blusey, and with an edge. I just wish I'd known at the time what a treat To Lay Me Down was.

Forty eight plus hour Dark Star...must be the longest.

1st verse of Dark Star was two nights earlier going into drums. 2nd verse played here coming out of space (with a little ditty called Terrapin in between). This is the ONLY time they split Dark Star between two nights of a run.

Bruce was not present, although he played the previous two nights.

This "To Lay Me Down" is really, really good. It was the 2nd to last time Jerry ever sang it. This was kind of a mellow night compared to the last two nights in Denver.Download all three shows and listen to the whole run. I can't believe that I was there 23 years ago. Awesome.

So glad it was a mellow show. 1st 2 nights tore me up. Ankle races at the Holiday Inn says it all.

I got miracled this show. Did compon terrace and here, and had no ticket come showtime. I remember yelling out jokingly "sell me your extra ticket now so you can go in and not miss the shakedown opener"
Right then someone handed me a ticket, hugged me and said "go". I couldnt believe it. I ran up the stairs, Stepped inside, and the boys were literally ramping up a shakedown opener. As i stepped through the portal from concourse to seats, they slammed it down! Didnt miss one note. It was the most epic call i ever made.
