Comments:

Apparently this is the last time Louie Louie was played. Brent has some fun with the crowd by singing "Louie-ville Louie-ville". It's really neat! Excellent setlist as well!

my 1st dead show and what a show it was with all of the Ky\Louisville references (must have been the roses, big river, louie louie), 2 dylan songs and the other one.

Best fucking rendition of The Other One I ever saw.

I was at this show and it was solid if not spectacular. Cool to get two first set 'roses' songs (Musta Been and Ramble On) in the city where the Run for the Roses takes place. It would have been cool if they could have pulled off a GD version of the JGB song Run for the Roses. But what I thought we would more likely get would be The Race Is On. It was only played seven times post 1980 but I know I've heard multiple shows that were on Kentucky Derby Day, not necessarily in Louisville, where Bob would say something like "It's Derby Day" before playing it. Along the same lines, I expected a US Blues encore because of the arena name... Freedom Hall. Goes to show you don't ever know...
