COLD RAIN-A great example of how Jerry's aging voice made the same old 65 era song sound great with a new twist. Brent's raspy voice adds further texture while Phil plays as if he is the lead instrument in BUCKET, ROW JIMMY Jerry's voice is absolutely bone chilling soulful. What a perfect trio to start off the set. 6 shows into the tour and the boys were mighty tight!
-Perrinswolf (10/16/2008)

Had to sneak down onto the floor for the second set if I remember correctly. Phil side, 20 feet back. One of the best of my ~100 shows. Dylan was a bonus .

My buddies & I had tickets for this show but for the show the day before, we bought some counterfeit tickets in the lot and didn't get inside.. after we had already dropped. Bummer. We were so high up in the back of the Forum, I couldn't see Dylan but I remember when he started singing. Craziest two days of my life, in that parking lot, being a county boy in the big city at the Grateful Dead In L.A.. What an experience.

This was the only electric version of Monkey and the Engineer. Dylan might or might not have been drunk as a skunk. Grate weekend.
