Comments:

another dull show from this 1988 four show run at alpine. It just didnt seem worth all the hassle of camping at this venue for a week. if you sold your ticket for this one you did not miss anything much. the boys were playing new songs which usually helped th older standards shine a little brighter for me, but that didnt happen here, as always though, fun lot scene and camping. in other words, i complain, but i just cant stay away, you know what i mean?

Even 34 years later I remember this show as lackluster. I just heard it for the first time since being there and I must say my recollection was accurate. Ironically the highlight is also the biggest train wreck... Stella Blue. Jerry completely forgets the first 2 verses both lyrically and musically. But he more than makes up for it. The solo between the bridge and the last verse is amazing and then the outro solo is trancsendant. That seems like Jerry's go to move when he fucks up... turns it up a notch on the jamming.
