"This is all fucked up" is the quote from 'Brokendown' . Very funny moment

Beautiful spot, beautiful people. Classic moment in Dead philosophy in action. The heads were all geeked up that the boys would bring Dark Star or Stephen for the Harmonic Convergence. And what did they play? Black Peter. A let down for some (including me). But in retrospect, it was perfect Dead Realism. It ain't about a new age holiday that you never heard of before last year. It ain't the band's job to deliver you to spitirtual nirvana or solve all the world's problem. That day wasjust "like any other day there's ever been." But there is one wonderful, magical part of it "my friends all come around." And they did.

One of my all-time favorite moments is the open to "Brokedown," especially because it features a (then) rare occurrence of Jerry talking to the crowd.

"Wait a minute, this is all f***ed up..."

This was the last night of 5 incredible Colorado shows. never hadI had such a fantastic week. The tunes, The people, and of course The Band; in 2 awesome places, Red Rocks and Telluride. My memories will Not Fade Away.

Here's a good documentary film somebody took. It takes you back there if you were lucky enough to be there. This was my first show, and I guess you'd say it changed mt life. Those were good times.

Your first show? It was my 2nd and changed everything for me. Laid down on the ground in the back of the park as Brokedown started and felt the deepest sense of peace I've ever felt.
