last "hand jive", and what a shame cause it was a fun song both with or without the neville bros.!!
-gdjake (08/27/2007)

ps- after "never trust a woman" (aka "good time blues") the crowd goes into a loud "we want phil" chant to which the boys oblige and breakout a nice (for the latter years anyway) "box of rain".

I thought this second set was one of the best ever. The energy was fantastic and when Jerry ended The Dew, it was pure exhilaration. WOW

smoking show

Finally a call Bob could be proud of...Was in the fourth row center for this...Jerry missed his mike pad at the end of The Dew but you could hear him from where I was sitting...really great show.
-Bossgobbler (06/11/2010)

I have listened to this show a lotremembered archive. I remember being there for all 3 nights, by Saturday, we were whipped...and not that into it. But give a listen, great show start to finish. Hand jive was special, anyone remember the Duran Duran shirt was wearing?
-Jerryinred (03/24/2012)

My GD 8th show, still inscribed on my soul. Cassidy was note perfect, with a tight baroque solo. End of Truckin' was a phil-bomb that jammed back into a Playin' Reprise. My first Morning Dew, and still my favorite. At the start of it, Jerry was in a spotlight cone of green light.

We took a lot of acid. Willie and the Handjive was the highlight that I remember over 30 years later.
