Comments:

This was a sick show. From what I remember during Fire Jerry walked out to the front of the stage and pointed his finger down at the crowd. That was the only time I ever saw Jerry wander from behind his mic. I have been look around and have not been able to find a copy of this show anywhere. Can anyone help me out?

Row Jimmy
El Paso

Solid Jerry & Bobby combo, and considering this in an 86 show, all the more to celebrate.

Box of Rain-16th time played in 86 after hiatus from 73 due to Phil blowing his vocal cords out due to poor monitors.

We got all four nights mail order and I enjoyed every second. First California shows , didn’t realize at the time it would be the state I saw the Dead in the most, with Virginia running #2. Was glad to have the gap in shows on the 29th. The extra sleep is/was always welcome. Flying home to Virginia and work on New Year’s Day was a drag after 6 fun fun days. But spring tour was just around the corner and was back in Cali in May for Laguna Seca, and back yet again for the next New Years run at the Coliseum. After the Greek in 88 we started scheming our move to the Bay Area.
We made the move in July 89. Saw lots of shows in the whole 3 months living there. Played it financially smart moving to Portland Oregon after the fall Shoreline run. And still made it to many Cali shows. Only saw one more east coast show Nassau spring tour 94. My only regret was missing Warlocks in Hampton. We never missed Hampton.

Anyway I guess i got just a bit off track. Kaiser was probably the only venue I loved every show. Seeing this run we’re my only HJK shows. My first Cal shows, and first New Years run!
