Ahhh...how I loved Hampton. My FAVORITE indoor venue for seeing the Dead. And I saw the band play all of the major indoor venues. The band just loved the place. Always high energy and through the years the breakouts, the returns. The NEXT night! The next year! And on it went. I remember this was the first show of Spring Tour in 86. For me the China - Rider - Playin - jam, actually the whole second set was pretty fantastic. Its a hard call of all the great runs in the different venues that I saw the Grateful Dead, but I'll take Hampton as the place I miss the most. Maybe it was spring tour, winter was over. But naw, it was all the amazing performances and unbridled energy between us heads and the band
