I
Birdsong-had nice bird sound effect, not sure if Healy was still w/the Dead then.

II
One of the shortest shows I've ever heard, TO1 almost goes by fast.

The last 2 miutes of Scarlet have the SWEETEST meandering/marimba/island/funky jam that just drops right into Touch. The quality of the SBD version is REAL gooood too.
The Gimme Some Lovin>>>DEW is killer too. Top it off with a Sugar Magnolia encore...this show is underrated!!
Short and Sweeeeet I say!?

Yes, Healy had a long way to go with the band at this point.

Can we stop allowing comments by people who don;t know the Dead? Dan Healy was absolutely behind the board every night in 1985. And he is not responsible for alot of those sounds. There is a non-reality created by the online crowd about the Dead that is laughable. These kids talk like they know these people (i.e "Healy") and they don't know anything.

I caught this entire tour, this was one of the weaker shows but still decent. The hot shows were OK Zoo, Starlight and of course Red Rocks third night and Oakland 3rd night.

This was a fun show regardless of how long it was. This was the outdoor Astrodome venue. The amusement park was in the background, and I think our ticket to the show would have gotten us in the park, but we arrived way too late for that. The sky tram was operating in the background behind the stage which was a very cool optic during the show. The venue rented lounge chairs so there were a lot of people kicked back during the breaks in the show. A lot walked out of the show to the lot afterwards. It was a very solid show for 85. Great bookends for start and finish of the show. Jack Straw to open and absolutely loved the Sugar Mag encore. Totally out of the blue. It is underrated.

I love these people that complain about short set lists without actually listening to the show. The first set is a solid 60 minutes which contains a 12 minute Row Jimmy, 8 minute CC Rider, a 10 minute Bird Song and LLR and Deal both well over 7 minutes each. Then the second set equates to about a hour and 18 minutes. Grand total you have a 2 and a half hour show that was well worth the ticket price.
