Comments:

The sun was setting on the Pacific ocean as Phil and Jerry eeked out the gentle melody and later booming thunderous sounds of Estimated Prophet, on tour 2000 miles from home I WAS HOME !!!!!

I
Bucket-Bobby's vocals are might fine in the "riiide" section which puts goosebumbs on your forearms from the onset!
Esau>Althea>Cassidy-2nd of only 4 times this sequence performed. Great Jam out of Cassidy.

II
China>Rider>Samson>Ship>Estimated>Eyes
Needless to say, this monumental mind shattering sequence was only played for the Ventura crowd. Simply sultry soulful solo in Ship of Fools. WOW

E: Day Job-Only 10 more left..wonder if you can still hear the booing?

The show started under overcast skies. It started sprinkling during "Looks like rain" Then the sun came out and it got really nice with the breeze from the ocean blowing in during "Estimated Prophet"

Danced on top of a Port-o-Let at this show. Weather went from OK to great as did the show from Estimated Prophet on!

Great to hear this today on Sirius. My 22nd birthday and a damn fine show. Trouble ahead, Jerry in red!

This show absolutely rips. A lot of people diss on 1985, saying Jerry sounded rough. I should note that I don't entirely disagree. Jerry certainly had a rasp during this era that hinted towards his ill health. Despite that, I think you'd be hard pressed to find an era where the boys played any faster. This show is a perfect example of that. The Estimated goes into some crazy places after the middle jam, with some crazy effects on Bobby's voice. The Throwin Stones is played with such voracity, I thought my speakers in my car were going to explode. 85 grateness!!!
-Grateful Dan (04/04/2022)

let's not forget that after the debacle of Madonna and Live Aid blasting over the PA the day before, this show had The Who's Tommy playing between sets!
