Comments:

This was probably the best show in the 6 night run. Great Smokestack jam in the 1st set. First performance of Gimme Some Lovin' (I think).

Great show, I agree. Did anyone have a filler on this tape of hippie comic routine involving a hippie that slept thru the end of the 60s? He is told Jimi Hendrix has died among others. He says " whose Jim Croce". I would love to get a copy or at least know what it is from. Mayby Hunter S Thomson.

Last Casey Jones til '92. WTF? Such a good tune. And i doubt the stand up thing was Hunter Thompson, he was more of a down trodden realist, not a comedian. Besides, this was around when he was getting sucked into his cartoon image and letting his fame start to go to his head. If i'm not mistaken, this is shortly Before or after he moved in with Jimmy Buffet.

@GeorgePapageorge:
you are referring to a National Lampoon radio hour show skit.

A friend and I drove from Davis to Berkeley without tickets, got there a little late, and found a guy trying to get rid of two tickets right when we got out of the car. Truly a miracle. Incredible Help/slip/Franklin, and the house came down when they started the Casey Jones encore.

WHAT A SHOW!
