Comments:

Actually, they went into Lovelight from NFA. Show was so long that the management turned on the lights during the end of NFA, but the Dead kept playing

i almost got hit by lesh's limo on the way out to this show - it ripped from start to finish. the lovelight was massive gravy!

Dave M is correct. possibly something to do with the fire marshall. Lights came up and the band kept playing

my very first show and what a rockin one!!

I really do not remember the lights coming on early.

I remember it...also one year in Hartford they had some arena guys running spotlights from way back. During Rooster (I think) Jerry is ripping his solo and the spot was on Bob, followed him around as he tried to duck out of the way, give the dude a hint yo, it's not me playin" that...

I have an almost morbid fascination with this show. This was among my first batch of tapes I got. My roommate played the Estimated for me and I was floored.

The story I have heard is that the show was running long and to break and then come back for an encore would not be feasible. So Lovelight became the hybrid set closer/encore. They rolled right into it out of NFA.

Solid underrated '84 show. Well worth listening to if you like that sort of thing. And if you are reading the comments for this show then I suspect you are!

I wish a good sbd existed. Some of the tapes are good enough, don't get me wrong, but I love this show enough that it needs the matrix treatment! Oh well..crank it up and enjoy!

The microphone drop outs and distortion on Estimated, Throwing Stones and NFA ... even to this day gives me shivers.
- (11/02/2020)

The sound effect on Estimated is HAUNTING. This show rocks so hard start to finish. DO NOT SLEEP ON THE 84 FALL TOUR!!!!

Well, a decent sbd of set 2 has surfaced. Praise jah! It's at the archive link above ^ ^ ^

Yeah the second set soundboard is awesome. Awesome show. They are their Wheaties today I guess. Estimated > Eyes is a really sweet transition. And while the quality is good throughout, I think I like this show based on quantity as much as anything.
