Comments:

This is perhaps my least favorite show of the 40 odd I saw. Too bad because it was a cool venue and a beautiful summer night...

yeah, the moon was up while the sun was setting on the other side of the island. gorgeous night.

I loved this place. I was there the year before also. This time we had 2 or 3 car loads of people from our town. One of the guys was so fucked up that he started a land slide of people down a hill from the road to the island. A lot of folks got in for free because of that move. We all had tickets in our hands going down. Another show that I was to lit up to remember much of. I do remember someone handing out these cool little drawing of the jester with the date on it. Later that night I pulled it out and looked at it and it was colored in bright colors. The next morning I looked at it again and it was just black and white. Strange.

The mayor of Harrisburg declared it Grateful Dead day, as I recall.

Why did Jerry float off the stage during Eyes?!? What a mesc, I mean mess ;) Not the best show ever but one that stands as a reminder that the show isn't just about the music. Stayed up all night, then drove to SPAC and "ran into a rain storm"

I went both ‘83 & ‘84 to Harrisburg. Unique venue City Island. Met friends & nice time, but an uneven show — lyric flubs, parts of the show were rushed especially first set. I could be wrong, but I had the feeling the band’s “heart” was not totally into this concert. I like listening to ‘83 Harrisburg over ‘84. Sound was not the best for ‘84 either in comparing my tapes.
