What is "Only a Fool?"

It's a Brent tune. I haven't head it, but I know it is

a short show but one that I am very fond of. I love the "UJB". And Brent on "Only A Fool" is AWESOME!!! His vocals and keyboard work are classic. If anybody has a crisp version on disc I'd love to get a hold of it. Thanks, Skeets

My 6th show. Yeh, short 1st set, especially when you miss the first two tunes. Got hung up in a parking situation where this dopey narc guy wanted to call the cops because we attepted to park in a corporate parking lot. And the rain....ugh. But, worth the trip with "Only a Fool". I remember the next day, I pitched a no-hitter against the rival baseball team. High school folks.

Why oh why does Donna have to wail that terrible "yeah-heeeeyyy-heeeeay-yeah" and "whoaaaa-whoaaa" crap all over these fine songs?
-Anonymous (03/11/2012)

Who are you speaking of? Since Donna and the band went their ways years before? Just curious.

Do people think it's that easy to piss off dead heads? hahaha, the Anonymous bro is just being intentionally stupid to get one of you mad. Funny shit.

The space>Only a Fool is now available as a legal free download on the official dead.net site as part of its 30 Days of Dead 2013. Can' swear how long it will stay up... It is the free song offered on 11/25/13

Phil got enormously pissed at Brent for doing ONLY A FOOL. He was yelling at him right there on stage. I got the idea that Phil had nixed the idea of doing the song, and that Brent decided to overrule him and do it anyway WITHOUT his okay. Phil was steaming mad the rest of the show, and wore headphones for the rest of the set. I suspect that this is the reason that this song was never played again.
