Comments:

This is simply one of the finest second sets you will find anywhere. Especially coming out of the space, the Spanish Jam with the crowd's pleading for Phil, and his woofer-shattering response, to the way the GDTRFB seems to come from the smoke and rubble left from the Other One, to the Metal-Grinding-on-Metal sounding middle-jam during the Dew to Bob's all out blitz on SMags...this represents the absolute best of the Dead.

I have to agree with Mayfest, I did the run from 9/14 ~ the Carrier Dome and this show was the best by far. The Other One> GDTRFB>Dew was smokin' hot and so cleanly played.

If you listen to the audience copy of the Spanish Jam.. you can hear the audience shouting PHIL! PHIL! PHIL! way cool!

I love Portland and I loved this show. The boys are real tight throughout. Brent, Bobby and Jerry were on fire. One of the best Prophets I've heard.
LOVED IT. LOVED IT!

Just took a listen to this gem of a show.. set I is real tasty with CC and Althea. IAON is real good. the boys are on tonight and the first set made me loose track of time.:^) set II starts good but with some miscues on lyrics i still managed to shake my bones and post-drums is the meat with Spanish Jam-> TOO-> GDTRFB-> Dew.. ``he's gone and nothing gonna bring him back". this a very good show from a good year 82...enjoy. :^)
