I think this is for me.. and I want to dance... and I can dance ...and everyone is dancin... and everthing is cool.. and no violence and wow ...holy shit I wanna do this again ...that was my experience at age 18 and the first of 230+ shows thank you Jerry, Bob, Phil, Brent, Micky and Billy...you gave me the opportunity to see and experience a great life with great people and an appreciation for life, art and the human experience that I would have missed if I did not see my first show in Hartford.....and by the way to the guy that said Hartford Cops Suck...my hat's off to you cause they be some ugly pigs* in that town (note: not to be known as dead head lovers!!! Peace

Very good "shoe". Boys gave a long C&W 1st set but turned it up w/It's All Over Now(normally a set closer), a quiet but pretty Birdsong.

2nd set is where it's at folks. The funk sound of Shakedown Street remained with Jerry plucking all sorts of juicy licks. Spanish Jam was almost a regular between 81-83, with it starting out classic 60's style trippy and transitioning seamlessly into UJB w/the boys harmonies respectable to say the least.

for several years i had several discs of "live unknown date" Grateful Dead music, with the help of this site I easily figured out the date of all the shows. I only have the 2nd half of this show and there is one spot that it cuts out (at the end of Spanish Jam and it picks up at the begining of Uncle John's Band) and it dosn't sound like they go into each other. Saint of Circumstance goes right into Spanish Jam and I am missing drums from my recording so I think Drums is in the wrong spot on the setlist. Maybe someone else can confirm this? pretty sure Drums is after Jam.

Brianmerrilyn, Its all over now is rarely a set closer you tool

Saint of Circumstance does go into Drums and then into the Spanish Jam.

Brent rocks face the entire second set.
