Comments:

Great year, 1/2 step into Franklin's was is one of the best, maybe close to the Garden on 3/10/81.

It was approximately 105 degrees out, but the band was even hotter. Awesome show.

One word HOT! I remember pulling up to the venue at about 4 am and it must have been 100* at that hour! We made our way to a public pool at around 11am. What a scene that was. Around 30 or 40 local kids with their mom's and 100 heads doing what we did best. Tunes blaring from the parking lot, smoke billowing from VW buses, freaks twirling in the swimming pool, utter culture shock. Reminded me of the Aladin when the show would let out into the Casino in a wave of psychedelic confusion. Scores of mid western retiree's wondering what in Gods name had happened to glittering neon oasis! What fun indeed. Anyway back to Compton Terrace, the stand out song for me was Stella for sure. I remember the harder Jerry played the harder the wind blew. He conjured up the Gods that night for sure. There were sapling trees planted around the top of the amphitheater that were near horizontal at one point. Pure magic.
