Comments:

after that crazy drunk fest in rochester on 9/1 the dead trucked on to augusta, maine for this 9/2 show.
it's a very solid show...some very hot versions of music never stopped and terrapin are the highlights that really caught my ear.

I arrived a day early with a buddy on my motorcycle and found a bunch of long-hairs in the parking lot wearing Dead shirts. I said: "Your're here for the show tomorrow?" They said: "What show?" I said: "The Dead show." They said: "The Dead are playing HERE??" Love Maine.

Brents first Ramble on Rose and Let It Grow. And that Let it Grow will not feel as long as it is, the noodle jam before droping into space just eats away time. Great second set surprises.

We got there just as they were removing the hinges from the entry doors for later ticket collection. I guess people heard the sound check because we we pushed in a surge to have the dead do Crazy Fingers for a few hundred of us at most. Stayed on the front rail for the show. After the show exhaustion set in and slept on side of road. No really. Rolled sleeping bag out on gravel. Three days in a rabbit, you know my body hurt...
